Thoughts about Quora

Having shared a verbal barrage on Quora on more than a few occasions, I have come up with my observations about it.

  1. Tailor-made questions are asked, the added rhetoric simply renders an answer irrelevant. It just becomes a ground for the author's opinion making.
  2. Tailor-made answers are given, usually by someone in collusion with the author of the question itself.
  3. Some questions are genuine, the answers to such questions usually don't get much 'Upvotes'.
  4. Some questions make you wonder why Internet is so readily available.
  5. Some people follow the sentiment of "One like=One salute" for Upvotes as well.
  6. Upvotes don't mean that the answer is logical.
  7. Most pathetic answers are the one which begin with fake anecdotes.
