One moment please...

Just a thought to stave off the slumber,
Trying to offer something to remember,
I can see that life can be volant,
But can you just live this moment?

Head to the calendar, look at the date,
It has a purpose for its very own fate,
Today's date was the one of its kind,
Unlikely that another one you will find,

Have you pencilled in what you want to do?
How will things look when the day is through?
A day wasted will go down as one lesser in the book,
You will find something to clear, just have a look,

Find something grand to pursue,
Look around, you will find a clue,
Take the book out, write a note,
Do something for yourself to gloat,

Few years from now you will look back,
Something unfinished and wish to have a crack,
You wondered if you had more left in the stock,
These were moments.....simply left on the clock.
