Hopeless Romantic - An Open Heart Surgery

A view from the slit in the heart of a hopeless romantic.

There are mistakes that a person makes,
One of them is being totally honest,
Its gives less and far more away it takes,
And then he just sits to pen a sonnet,

So who is a hopeless romantic?
He is someone who takes it on the chin,
Makes assumptions and thinks frantic,
All cheers but somehow loses the vim,

He seeks someone who can understand,
As he feels too long he has been alone,
Someone who can hold the delicate strand,
Without which his heart turns to stone,

In an affable moment he puts a lot at stake,
Needing an outlet right from the heart,
Opening up to others becomes a mistake,
And this where he often pulls apart,

Often spends his days dreaming,
Regardless of fortunes he is never pert,
Rarely is his smile not beaming,
Doesn't matter how much he is hurt,

One day his true love will be found,
This shall put an end to the tease,
The bliss in his heart will be unbound,
His mind will finally be at peace.
